Newly-crowned MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo has hailed Casey Stoner as the most talented rider he has ever seen and added the series will miss him in 2013.
Lorenzo takes the number one plate away from Stoner, who missed a chunk of races due to injury, but the Aussie dominated yesterday's Phillip Island encounter despite being in a lot of pain.
"I have a lot of respect for Casey as he is probably the most talented rider I have ever seen on a racetrack, pure talent. He is very quick. But he has decided to stay with his family and enjoy life without racing. we will miss him a lot," said Lorenzo.
